As the technical lead for the customer portal team at Stoa, I played a key role in guiding the team through the development and execution of large features. Working closely with product management, I collaborated to define feature requirements and break them down into manageable tasks for the team. I was responsible for ensuring that the team had a clear understanding of the project objectives, timelines, and resources required to meet these objectives.
In addition to leading the customer portal team, I also served as a key role in cross-team solutions and engineering-wide influence. I collaborated with other engineering teams to identify areas of overlap and opportunities for shared solutions. Through cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing, I helped to improve overall system performance and scalability.
Furthermore, I played an important role in influencing engineering-wide decisions and best practices. I conducted code reviews, implemented industry-standard development practices, and mentored team members to promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Through these efforts, I helped to elevate the overall quality of our codebase and contributed to the success of the entire engineering organization at Stoa.
As a Senior Software Engineer at Stoa, I designed and implemented a service that replicated Salesforce data and enabled querying of this data along with other product data within two seconds of a change happening in Salesforce. The service was built to provide seamless integration between Salesforce and our product, ensuring that our customers had access to the most up-to-date data in a timely manner. By utilizing best practices and optimizing the service, I was able to achieve fast query response times while maintaining data accuracy and reliability. This solution improved our system performance and resulted in increased customer satisfaction.
During my time as a Senior Software Engineer at Olark, I created a modern React chat client that seamlessly integrated on top of the legacy chat client. The goal was to provide Olark's customers with a more user-friendly interface, while also minimizing interruptions to their experience.
To achieve this goal, I utilized the React and Redux frameworks to build a highly responsive and intuitive interface. By utilizing best practices and optimizing the codebase, I was able to develop new features at a faster pace while minimizing the impact on Olark's customers.
The resulting modern chat client was a significant improvement over the legacy version, providing customers with a more streamlined chat experience. This resulted in fewer customer interruptions and an increase in overall customer satisfaction. My work on this project was recognized by both the product and customer support teams, and I was praised for my contributions to the success of the company.
